Hyundai India has revealed the upcoming Hyundai Creta Electric ahead of its official debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo that is scheduled to take place from January 17-22, 2025 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Here’s everything we know so far about the new Hyundai Creta Electric including its battery specs, interior, features, and design details.
Upcoming Hyundai Creta Electric
The Creta Electric is unarguably the most anticipated upcoming Hyundai car in India, and is set to be revealed at the 2025 Auto Expo. The Creta Electric will replace the now discontinued Hyundai Kona EV and is likely to garner good sales numbers, riding on the Creta brand value.
Hyundai Creta Electric design and styling
On the exterior, the electric Creta isn’t starkly different from its ICE counterpart, barring the front grille and the alloy wheels that have been adapted for functionality. It gets active air dams at the front and aerodynamic alloy wheels to reduce drag in an attempt to maximise the Hyundai Creta Electric range.

Hyundai Creta Electric battery specs
The Creta Electric will get the options for two battery packs — 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The smaller battery pack comes with a claimed range of 390 kilometres, and the larger pack comes with a claimed range of 473 kilometres. Note that these numbers are ARAI-certified under the Rev.1 guidelines. 10% to 80% claimed charging time stands at 58 minutes via a DC fast charger, and 10% to 100% claimed charging time via an 11kW charger stands at 4 hours.
Hyundai Creta Electric interior and features
Not much has yet been revealed about the interior and features of the upcoming Creta Electric, but what we can see in the teaser video put up by Hyundai confirms that the electric SUV will get a steering column-mounted gear lever, a dual-screen setup just like the ICE Creta, albeit with EV-spec user interface, digital key, a three-pin socket for the second row, panoramic sunroof, and Hyundai’s four-dot Morse code logo on the steering wheel. Other Hyundai Creta Electric features that have been confirmed by the brand include V2L capability, functional air dams, electronic parking brake, and drive modes.
