We are witnessing cars getting launched every other week, be it a facelift or the electric version of an ICE car. Let us have a look at some of the upcoming cars in India, which are likely to get high-quality premium interiors, based on what we have seen in pictures, leaks and official releases.

 

MG Cloud EV

MG Cloud EV, one of the most anticipated launches of the year, is currently doing rounds on the Indian roads. The Cloud EV’s interior is expected to feature a premium minimalist design, with a neatly designed dashboard. In terms of features, this electric crossover might offer a dual-screen setup with a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Moreover, the car is expected to get a panoramic sunroof and features like connected car technology, automatic climate control, electrically-powered seats and a 360-degree camera setup.

 

Tata Curvv EV 

Tata Curvv EV, which is set to launch on 7th August 2024, is an electric coupe SUV, built on Tata’s acti.ev platform. The Curvv will boast a 12.3-inch touchscreen and an all-digital instrument cluster. The cabin will showcase a minimalist, all-black theme, highlighted by a floating touchscreen infotainment display, a fully digital instrument console, a two-spoke steering wheel with a touch panel, and touch-based HVAC controls.

Mahindra XUV.e8

The MahindraXUV.e8 is likely to launch later this year. Patent filings indicate features like a new two-spoke steering wheel and a triple-screen layout. The interior is likely to resemble that of the XUV 700. The exterior design should look much like the concept, and the XUV.e8 is expected to offer a range of around 450 km on a single charge. 

 

Kia EV9

Kia plans to introduce the EV9 in India by late 2024 or early 2025 via the CBU route. Globally, this seven-seater SUV claims to have a WLTP driving range of 541km. Inside the cabin, the EV9 comes with a three-row configuration with a seven-seat layout, which is expected to be the only option for the India-spec model. Some notable features of the EV9 include a large twin-screen setup that houses the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, heated ORVMs and a 3-zone climate control.

Nissan X Trail

The 2024 X-Trail's interior features a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, dual-tone upholstery, and a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system. It also includes automatic climate control, an engine start-stop button and a digital instrument console. Nissan is expected to offer both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations in India. Internationally, the X-Trail comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, an all-digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a Bose sound system, three-zone climate control, and an electronic parking brake.
