The festive season is right around the corner, and so are a handful of new car launches in India, aimed at capitalising on the growing sales trend seen during these months every year. With Kia India launching two premium models and the new-generation E-Class making its way to our shores, there’s quite a lot to look forward to. Here are the upcoming cars in India in October 2024.

Kia Carnival
Launch date: October 3, 2024
Starting price: Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
After being discontinued in 2023 due to stricter BS6 emission norms, the Kia Carnival has been launched in India in its latest generation. The new Kia Carnival also comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission producing 193PS of power and 441Nm of torque. It is available as a 7-seater with a 2+2+3 configuration.

Kia EV9
Launch date: October 3, 2024
Starting price: Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The second model launched in October by Kia is their all-electric family SUV, the Kia EV9. The EV9 features a quirky design language and loads of tech features. It comes to India via the CBU route and is underpinned by the Hyundai-Kia E-GMP platform. Powered by a 99.8kWh battery pack that is paired to a pair of electric motors, the combined output stands at 384PS of power and 700Nm of torque.
Nissan Magnite Facelift
Launch date: October 4, 2024
Starting price: Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Nissan’s only mass market car in India, the Nissan Magnite, has undergone a facelift after four years of its launch in India. The Magnite is the sole support for Nissan to continue its operations in India and the X-Trail is more of a placeholder to maintain an aspirational value for the brand. BMW M4 CS
Launch date: October 4, 2024
Starting price: Rs 1.89 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The BMW M4 CS is a meaner version of the M4 that puts out 558PS of power and 650Nm of peak torque via a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine. It is 20kg lighter than the BMW M4 Competition, and the kidney grille gets a red outline to make it stand apart from the regular M4 Competition, as if it wasn’t a stand out on its own!

BYD eMax 7
Launch date: October 8, 2024
Starting price: Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
BYD has launched the eMax 7, which is essentially a facelifted e6. It is set to cater to both the commercial and passenger vehicle market and gets a host of visual enhancements and feature additions. It gets two options for the powertrains — a 55.4kWh battery pack that powers a 163PS electric motor, and a 71.8kWh battery pack that powers a 204PS electric motor.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB
Launch date: October 9, 2024
Starting price: Rs 78.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
If there’s one car that needs no introduction in this list, it’s the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The new E-Class has been launched in three trims, including the E450 4MATIC that gets a 3.0-litre inline-six engine producing 381PS of power and 500Nm of peak torque.

2025 Jeep Meridian Facelift
Launch date: October, 2024
Expected starting price: Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom)
Jeep has started accepting bookings for the 2025 Jeep Meridian in both 5 seater and 7 seater configurations. Apart from the added seat-configuration option, the Meridian facelift will get an ADAS suite, a refreshed design for the grille, and a few more feature additions.
Skoda Enyaq
Unveil date: October 2024
Expected starting price: Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Skoda Enyaq will be the Czech brand’s first electric car in India. Showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show earlier this year, the Enyaq will also be Skoda’s flagship vehicle in India once it is launched. The Enyaq shares its underpinnings with the Volkswagen ID.4, which is also set to make its debut in India soon.
