February was a relatively calmer month for the automotive world if we talk about new car launches in India. Sure, there were a few headliners such as the BYD Sealion 7 and the Audi RS Q8 Performance, but the rest of the month saw near to no action. March is seemingly going to be much more happening, with the launch of a few but noteworthy new electric cars in India. Here’s a list of the upcoming cars in India in March 2025.

Upcoming cars and SUVs in India in March 2025

Tata Harrier EV

Estimated starting price: Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom)

After being showcased countless times at various auto events, the Tata Harrier EV launch in India is finally expected to take place next month. This new electric SUV will be offered in both RWD and AWD configurations, with the latter version boasting of a peak torque of 500Nm, as revealed by the carmaker at the 2025 Auto Expo.

Maruti e Vitara

Estimated starting price: Rs 20 - 25 lakh (ex-showroom)

Maruti is on heels to steal the spotlight from Tata with the launch of the first electric Maruti car in India — Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Revealed at the Delhi Auto Expo, the upcoming Maruti e Vitara will be offered in two powertrain configurations, both being FWD. The e Vitara will soon be followed by its Toyota counterpart — Toyota Urban Cruiser EV — that was showcased as the Toyota BEV Concept at the Auto Expo.

Kia EV6 facelift

Estimated starting price: Rs 62 lakh (ex-showroom)

Another Expo debutant —  Kia EV6 facelift — is also expected to be launched in the country next month. The facelifted EV6 gets some noticeable changes such as a revised design for the headlamps, a new steering wheel, curved panoramic display, and a bigger battery pack. 

Volvo XC90 facelift

Estimated starting price: Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom)

You do not hear and read about Volvos as often as you do in case of other luxury carmakers, but the Swedish manufacturer is here to introduce another facelift of its flagship SUV in India — Volvo XC90 — and we’re quite excited to see it in the flesh. The Volvo XC90 facelift launch date in India has been announced as March 4, 2025.

MG Majestor

Estimated starting price: Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom)

Arguably being called as the MG Gloster facelift, the MG Majestor is also likely to be launched in March. MG has been secretive about its details and specs, though we expect it to borrow a lot from the Gloster. It was revealed to us at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 along with a slew of upcoming MG cars in India such as the MG Cyberster and the MG M9 electric MPV.

MG Cyberster

Estimated starting price: Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom)

Speaking of the Cyberster, the MG Cyberster India launch might also take place in March 2025. It will be the first MG car to be sold via the new network of premium MG Select dealerships. The Cyberster will also be the brand’s only sportscar in India, that too, featuring an electric powertrain.
