If there is one product that has established Hyundai as a premium carmaker for the masses, it is the Hyundai Creta. Ever since its launch in 2015, Hyundai has managed to sell over 10 lakh Creta SUVs in the country. In the age of electric cars, Hyundai wants to extend its showstopper’s appeal to the environment-conscious buyers. The 2025 Hyundai Creta EV is in the works and here are the top things you need to know about it.

2025 Hyundai Creta EV Exterior

The Hyundai Creta EV has been spotted on multiple occasions on the Indian roads. While the Creta facelift has been launched, the Creta EV has been on test long before the launch of the latest Creta facelift. The new images showcase the updated Creta boasting the electric drivetrain. While the models that were spotted were finished in heavy camouflage, they reveal a similar design to the ICE-powered Creta. Needless to say, Hyundai will make considerable changes to the Creta EV’s design, in order to stand it apart from its ICE iteration. Those changes could include different lighting setup, alloy wheels and body panels.

2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Interior

On the inside, the new Creta already packs a lot of features while incorporating the latest cabin design from Hyundai. The Creta EV is likely to carry over a similar dashboard as the Creta, albeit with some EV-specific changes. However, the space on the inside is not expected to improve substantially, as in the case with born-electric vehicles. On the other hand, the space could take a hit if the battery intrudes into the cabin, which would require further modifications into the platform and floorboard.

On the features front, the Creta electric is likely to carry over the same set of features that we get to see in the regular ICE-powered Creta. The Creta already comes loaded with all the bells and whistles, which includes features such as powered driver’s seat with ventilation for both driver and passenger, dual 10.25-inch screens, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 360-degree parking camera and level-2 ADAS. The Creta EV could further add more features such as head-up display and EV-specific features such as brake energy regeneration.

2025 Hyundai Creta EV Powertrain

While there is no official confirmation from Hyundai, reports suggest that the 2025 Hyundai Creta EV could come with a 45kWh battery pack. Keeping the costs in check, the Creta EV is likely to boast a single motor powering the front wheels, offering 138PS of power and 255Nm of torque. Given the global range of Hyundai EVs, the Creta EV could offer DC fast charging support via a nose-mounted charging socket, as seen in the spy shots.
