Upcoming 2024 Nissan X-Trail SUV Teased - Top Things to Know

Nissan has officially teased the upcoming 2024 Nissan X-Trail, generating considerable anticipation ahead of its official launch in India. First launched in 2005, the Nissan X-Trail will make a comeback after almost 10 years in India and is a well-regarded nameplate globally. The latest-generation model boasts a long list of updates including modern styling, featured-packed interiors and better safety. While Nissan is gearing up to launch the SUV within the next couple of months, here are the top things you need to know about the upcoming 2024 Nissan X-Trail SUV.

Does It Look Good?

The teaser image reveals a modern and sophisticated design, consistent with Nissan's current design language. The SUV features a prominent V-motion grille at the front, flanked by sleek LED headlamps. The muscular body lines and sculpted surfaces contribute to an aggressive yet refined appearance. The partially revealed rear design suggests a stylish approach, with LED tail lamps and a sporty bumper. In all, the India-spec version will look similar to the global X-Trail SUV and might remind you of Nissan’s other global SUVs.  

2024 Nissan X-Trail Interiors And Features

While the teaser didn't give us a detailed glimpse of the cabin of the new X-Trail SUV, we expect the interiors to be similar to that of the fourth-gen model on sale since 2021 in the global markets. Needless to say, all modern features and equipment including a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument console, wireless charging pad, sunroof and more will be on offer for the buyers.

Performance and Powertrain

While the 2024 Nissan X-Trail is offered with multiple engine options, the Indian-bound model is likely to get a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 204hp and 305Nm of maximum torque. This engine will be offered with a CVT gearbox but it isn't known if it’ll come with 2WD or AWD. More details however are still awaited at the moment. 

2024 Nissan X-Trail Price, Launch In India

With an expected starting price of around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Nissan X-Trail is likely to launch somewhere in July or August 2024 and will take on rivals like the Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kodiaq, and the VW Taigun.
