Toyota India is among the few carmakers that has a constant flow of customers for the legacy models along with new buyers falling into the showrooms, owing to the range of models shared with Maruti Suzuki. As a result, the carmaker has been on the rise and the fiscal year 2024-25 turned out to be the best-ever for the Japanese giant. Toyota FY 2024-25 yearly car sales

 

Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded its best-ever fiscal year sales result, registering total sales of 3,37,148 units in FY 2024-25, marking a growth of 28% over 2,63,512 units in FY23-24. Speaking about the key motivators behind this boost, the 35% increase in SUV & MPV sales turned out to be one of the biggest drivers. The Toyota SUV range includes both legacy models like the Fortuner and LC300 as well as shared products like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Taisor.

Furthermore, the carmaker also registered a massive boost in its export sales, registering a surge of 59% year-on-year, reinforcing the carmaker’s efforts in making India its global export hub. Other key highlights as per the carmaker in achieving the best-ever yearly sales were expansion to tier-2 and tier-3 cities and enhancements to customer services like T CARE, T GLOSS and Toyota Mobility Solutions for pre-owned cars.

 

Toyota March 2025 car sales

 

Speaking about the March 2025 car sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor dispatched 30,043 units, out of which 28,373 units were for the domestic market and 1.670 units were for exports. The carmaker registered a YoY growth of 11% compared to March 2024, wherein the carmaker dispatched 27,180 total units. 

 

Commenting on the strong performance, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement said, “The growth has been fuelled by the strong and consistent adoption of SUVs MPVs and hybrids, further reinforced by robust export momentum and deeper engagement in Tier II and III cities—highlighting the increasing relevance of our diverse product portfolio.
