Toyota cars December 2024 sales — Records 29.1% net year-on-year growth

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released the sales numbers for the month of December 2024 along with the numbers for the calendar year 2024. The carmaker has recorded handsome year-on-year growth numbers for both December as well as the whole calendar year. Please note that the sales numbers stated above reflect the number of units dispatched to dealers and they might vary from the actual number of units sold by dealerships. 

MoM and YoY analysis

Toyota India saw a 1.8% fall in domestic sales in December 2024 when compared to the same month last year, but the carmaker witnessed an overall growth of 12.2% due to a significant increase in exports. Year-on-year growth came out to be 29.1%, with exports contributing significantly, and domestic sales also playing their part.

Toyota car sales 2024 — Calendar year figures

Toyota India recorded sales of 3,26,329 cars and SUVs from January 2024 to December 2024, which represented a significant 39.8% positive growth as compared to 2,33,346 units sold over the same period in 2023. Out of the total units sold this year, 3,00,159 units were sold in the Indian market, while the remaining 26,232 units were exported to other countries.
