Top 5 Upcoming MG Cars In India In 2024 — Everything We Know So Far!

MG Motors, which recently joined hands with JSW to become JSW MG Motor India, will launch 5 new MG cars in India over the next one year, as stated by its President & MD Rajeev Chaba. The first of these top 5 upcoming MG cars in India in 2024 would be the MG Cloud EV, which is being talked about quite a lot in the industry. 

New Upcoming MG Cars In India

Out of these five cars, three will be mass market cars and the remaining two will be positioned for a premium segment. The first of the lot — MG Cloud EV — will be an electric crossover, which is expected to be loaded with creature comforts and feature a modern minimalist design. MG is also expected to launch the Bingo EV, which it filed a patent for around a month back. The MG Bingo EV shares its platform with the Comet EV. Could the MG Cyberster be one of the premium vehicles to be launched by the automaker? We are yet to receive confirmation about the same.

MG Motors Expansion In India

JSW MG Motor India is also setting up a new factory in Halol in Gujarat. The automaker is targeting sales of 3,00,000 cars annually over the next three to five years, as stated by Rajeev Chaba. He further emphasised about the future of hybrids, laying stress on plug-in-hybrids, in addition to ICE and EV powertrains. Chaba also set his expectations for growth of the passenger vehicle market at 7-8% in the upcoming years.

Present MG Cars In India

JSW MG India has five cars currently on sale in India. These include three internal combustion engine (ICE) cars and two EVs. MG Hector is MG’s best-selling car in the country, followed by its pocket-rocket, the MG Comet EV. Other cars on sale in India include the MG Gloster, MG Astor and MG ZS EV.
