Like the Comet EV, the Windsor EV will come underpinned by a EV skateboard platform. The benefit of a skateboard platform is the optimum utilisation of cabin space since the platform is designed around the fundamentals of an EV, like the placement of the battery pack under the floorboard and motor at either the front and rear or both the front and rear axles. In a market that is obsessed with dual-pane panoramic sunroof, MG Motor India has taken a bold step by introducing a fixed glass roof with the Windsor EV. Unlike other cars and SUVs that offer a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, out of which, the first pane opens, the glass roof to be found in the Windsor EV doesn’t open and offers an uninterrupted view of the sky above.
New Windsor EV With Over 200mm Ground Clearance
MG Motor India will offer the Windsor EV with over 200mm ground clearance, giving it an edge over the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and even its own sibling — the MG ZS EV. The increased ground clearance should help the Windsor EV establish itself as a competent CUV in the C-segment SUV space.
