With a total sales number of 18,949 units, the Tata Punch micro-SUV has turned out to be the best-selling SUV in India for the month of May. This small yet butch-looking SUV is a budget vehicle that offers a strong build quality and an affordable price tag. It seems that the new customers prefer to buy the Tata Punch due to its high ground clearance and its affordable variants. Moreover, the availability of CNG powertrains is a boon to customers with high annual running. There is also an option of AMT automatic for the buyers who would prefer to use it mostly within the city.
Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta needs no introduction to the new buyers. One of the most popular SUVs in India, the new Creta is still the undefeated segment king. The Creta brand pulled a total of 14,662 buyers in the month of May 2024. Hyundai updated the Creta earlier this year with an extensive facelift. All thanks to the multiple variants available that offer almost everything to every type of buyer. Maruti also offers a torque converter gearbox that is decently efficient and powerful for quick performance. Maruti has closely positioned the Fronx to the Baleno hatchback in terms of pricing. In fact, the Sigma variant of the Fronx has turned out to be a best-seller.
