Snatching away the top-selling badge from the Tata Punch, Hyundai Creta becomes the best selling SUV in India in July 2024. Hyundai India managed to dispatch 17,350 Creta SUVs in July 2024, marking the highest monthly dispatch for its best-selling model. Needless to say, the Hyundai Creta has been the best-selling Hyundai model for a long time now and in the month of July 2024, the Hyundai Creta has become the best selling car in the Indian market. Top 5 Best-Selling SUVs In July 2024 In India

 

Hyundai Creta — 17,350 Units

 

As we mentioned earlier, Hyundai India dispatched 17,350 units of the Creta SUV in July 2024, making a YoY improvement of 23% compared to July 2023. Compared to the sales of June 2024, Hyundai sold 1,057 additional units of the Creta SUV in July 2024, marking a MoM improvement of 6.48 percent. The launch of the Creta facelift has helped Hyundai to retain its lead in the C-segment SUV space by offering a new design and more features than before.

Tata Punch — 16,121 Units

 

In the month of June 2024, the Tata Punch was the best-selling model in India but in July, the dispatched units took a hit as Tata Motors managed to dispatch 16,121 units of the Punch SUV in July 2024. Starting with the YoY improvement, the Tata Punch saw an improvement of 34% compared to July 2023, which accounted for 12,019 unit dispatches. Coming to MoM percentage, the Punch has seen a sales dip of 11.60 percent as Tata Motors dispatched 18,238 units of the Punch in June 2024. The Tata Punch remains to be one of the most-popular mini SUVs in the country thanks to its long list of features, assured safety and factory-fitted dual-cylinder CNG option.

 

Maruti Suzuki Brezza — 14,676 Units

 

Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been on a downtrend with the sales dipping on the year-on-year basis. In the month of July 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 14,676 units of the Brezza SUV, marking a YoY degrowth of 11 per cent. In June 2024, Maruti Suzuki sold 13,172 units of the Brezza, which makes for a MoM improvement of 11.41per cent. The Brezza retains its third position in the monthly sales and retains the best-selling compact SUV tag in the Indian market.

Tata Nexon — 13,902 Units

 

The Tata Nexon recorded monthly sales of 13,902 units in July 2024. Compared to July 2023, the Tata Nexon marks a YoY improvement of 13 percent. In June 2024, Tata Motors dispatched 12,066 units of the Nexon, which is short by 1,836 units, marking a MoM improvement of 15 percent. It is worth mentioning that these numbers include both Nexon and Nexon EV sales. The recently updated Nexon facelift brought an all-new design and a lot more features to the compact SUV, but that also resulted in raised prices, thereby reducing its appeal to the price conscious consumers and leading to the Brezza’s growth.

Mahindra Scorpio — 12,237 Units

 

In the month of July 2024, Mahindra managed to sell 12,237 units of the Scorpio, which includes both the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N models. Compared to July 2023, Mahindra has recorded a YoY growth of 16 percent in Scorpio sales. However, the sales have seen a slight dip of 70 units compared to June 2024. The Mahindra Scorpio remains to be one of the best selling Mahindra models thanks to its cult following, powerful powertrains and rugged looks.
