Are the top SUVs from Sept'24 holding steady in Oct'24?
The Hyundai Creta facelift, which launched earlier this year in January, has continued to attract customers, driving impressive sales. In October 2024, the model recorded 17,497 units sold, marking a rise from 15,902 units in September. This indicates that the Creta's popularity is still going strong. When comparing the October 2024 sales to October 2023, the Creta saw a 34% YOY growth.
Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza maintained its position as the second-best-seller in October 2024, with 16,565 units sold. This also reflects a 3% YOY growth compared to the 16,050 units sold in October 2023. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Punch, and Mahindra Scorpio claimed the third, fourth, and fifth spots with 16,419, 15,740, and 15,677 units sold, respectively. Interestingly, in September, the Scorpio held the third position, followed by the Fronx and Punch, but the rankings shifted in October. The Tata Nexon, which secured the fifth spot in September, remained in the same position in October, with 14,759 units sold.
In October, the Kia Sonet dropped to the 10th spot, down from 7th in September. Looking at the sales figures, it seems there’s been a decline, with 10,335 units sold in September compared to 9,699 units in October.

Breaking down the YOY growth & sales report of top SUVs
Looking at growth trends, the Tata Nexon experienced a 13% decline in sales, from 16,887 units in October 2023 to 14,759 units in October 2024. Similarly, the Hyundai Venue faced a 6% drop in sales, with 10,901 units sold in October 2024 compared to 11,581 units in the same month last year.
On a positive note, the Kia Sonet saw the highest growth, with a remarkable 49% YOY increase, from selling 6,493 units in October 2023 and rising to 9,699 units in October 2024. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx also saw impressive growth, growing by 45% from 11,357 units in October 2023 to 16,419 units in October 2024.
