1. Maruti Ertiga – 17,441 units

Maruti’s popular MPV Ertiga has crossed 17 thousand sales mark in September 2024. It remains in a continuously high demand due to its practical cabin, reliable engine, and affordable maintenance. Maruti also sells it with a CNG engine, that is loved by cab operators, and hence, the sales figures remain high. Not-to-mention, the absence of a direct rival to the Ertiga is also a key factor in its success.

2. Maruti Swift – 16,241 units

Maruti recently launched the fourth generation of Swift in India. It is one of the most popular hatchbacks, and with its newest iteration, it has brought newer features and added safety. The overall design, brand value, reliable engine, and efficient performance are the main reasons behind Swift’s success.

5. Mahindra Scorpio/N – 14,438 units

Surprisingly, the Scorpio has made it to the top 10 selling cars list of September. All thanks to the Mahindra’s decision of not discontinuing the old Scorpio, and transforming it into the Classic, the sales of Scorpio brand are higher than ever. The Scorpio N, struggling with pending bookings, is also contributing to the big sales numbers. The Scorpio Classic offers a good value, as it is priced well below Rs 20 lakh mark. Also, the Scorpio N, with its new comfortable cabin and bigger dimensions, can be had within a budget of Rs 20-22 lakh.

Furthermore, Tata Motors also launched the updated Punch with new features, the effect of which shall be seen in October 2024 sales.
