2. Maruti Swift – 16,422 Units

Maruti recently launched the fourth generation of Swift in India. It is one of the most popular hatchbacks, and with its newest iteration, it has brought newer features and added safety. Not to mention, the Z12E three-cylinder engine is very fuel efficient and it is also available with an automatic transmission. The overall design, brand value, reliable engine, and efficient performance are the main reasons behind Swift’s success.

3. Hyundai Creta – 16,293 Units

Hyundai’s latest generation of Creta is doing good when compared to the sales of May’24. There is a hike in sales figures, maybe due to the sped-up deliveries. Hyundai launched the facelifted version of Creta earlier this year, and ever since, it has been in continuous demand. All thanks to its versatile engine and gearbox options, spacious cabin, and Hyundai’s widespread sales network, the Creta is an all-time favorite among Indians.

4. Maruti Ertiga – 15,902

Maruti’s popular MPV Ertiga has covered nearly 16 thousand sales mark in June. It remains in a continuously high demand due to its practical cabin, reliable engine, and affordable maintenance. Maruti also sells it with a CNG engine, that is loved by cab operators, and hence, the sales figures remain high. Not-to-mention, the absence of a direct rival to the Ertiga is also a key factor in its success.

5. Maruti Baleno – 14,895

Maruti Baleno is also in popular demand as it stands at the fifth number in the sales chart of June. The reason behind its popularity is its value-for-money proposition. The spacious cabin and comfortable ride quality of Baleno are a key factor behind its success. Additionally, the CNG version of Baleno is efficient and the availability of the CNG option across variants is loved by new consumers. The AMT gearbox version is also affordable, which helps in pulling buyers from rival brands.

6. Maruti WagonR – 13,790 Units

Another popular car in the list is the WagonR hatchback. The boxy design of WagonR is still pulling customers due to its practical cabin and offering of two engine options. Its CNG variants are value-for-money and very cheap to maintain. Moreover, WagonR is easy to drive in the city as its boxy design helps in easy parking and maneuvers.

7. Maruti Dzire – 13,421 Units

The Dzire compact sedan offers a practical cabin and a comfortable ride quality. Based on the Swift’s platform, the Dzire is a utility-friendly sedan for budget buyers. 8. Maruti Brezza – 13,172 Units

The Brezza compact SUV is also in the top 10 selling cars list of June month. The reason behind its continuous success is value-for-money variants. 9. Mahindra Scorpio/N – 12,307 Units

Surprisingly, the Scorpio has made it to the top 10 selling cars list of June. All thanks to the Mahindra’s decision of not discontinuing the old Scorpio, and transforming it into the Classic, the sales of Scorpio brand are higher than ever. The Scorpio N, struggling with pending bookings, is also contributing to the big sales numbers. The Scorpio Classic offers a good value, as it is priced well below Rs 20 lakh mark. Also, the Scorpio N, with its new comfortable cabin and bigger dimensions, can be had within a budget of Rs 20-22 lakh.

10. Tata Nexon/EV – 12,066 Units

Last but not the least, Tata Nexon is still present in the top 10 list. However, the continuous decline in its sales is now pinching Tata. It is one of the safest SUVs in India, and the attractive starting price with a feature-rich cabin, is still pulling new customers. However, the poor after sales and concerning reliability of Nexon has resulted in a dip in sales over time.
