Three new Hyundai EVs incoming
As Hyundai India is gearing up to launch the Creta Electric SUV, the carmaker wants to keep the ball rolling with as many as three electric SUVs following the Creta Electric in the coming years. The Hyundai Creta Electric is a direct EV conversion from the ICE Creta, however, that could change with the upcoming Hyundai EVs. As per the report, the upcoming made-in-India Hyundai EVs will have a mix of both ICE-derived and born electric vehicles, catering to varied customer sets, with the common factor being competitive pricing.
We are yet to get clarity on bodystyles and segments these upcoming EVs will play with. However, the report reveals that the carmaker is actively considering multiple bodystyles and segments, for mass adoption of EVs. Hence, it is safe to assume that we can expect both low-cost small EVs and premium EVs from the South Korean carmaker in the coming years. A few models carrying high likelihood of being launched in the Indian market are the Inster EV and Ioniq 6 EV.
