Comparing the sales figures of the Tata Punch and Maruti Fronx in Q3 2024, the Punch comes out as a clear winner with considerably more numbers each month. Furthermore, the Tata Punch is actually India’s best selling car in the first half of 2024, taking over cars like Maruti Alto K10, Wagon-R, Swift and Brezza. The Tata Punch manages to outsell the Maruti Suzuki Fronx despite offering a normal petrol engine along with a simpler AMT-type transmission and a CNG option.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx sits above the Baleno as a lifestyle product but thanks to its vast popularity, it has been a hit across market segments. The reasons behind its success are the refined and supremely efficient petrol engines, good set of features across variants and a likeable exterior design. However, the low-quality interior and lack of a safety rating assurance could be a few of its downsides, which the market doesn’t appreciate.
