The recently launched Tata Punch EV has scored a perfect five-star rating in the crash test results released by BNCAP, alongside the Nexon EV, which also passed the safety tests with flying colours. With a total score of 31.46 points out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection, the new Punch EV is one of the safest electric cars in India. BNCAP Tata Punch EV Safety Ratings Out - Safest Electric Car Under Rs 20 Lakh in India

Soon after releasing the Tata Safari and Tata Harrier crash test results, Bharat NCAP has officially awarded a five-star rating to the new Tata Punch EV. The Tata electric car scored an impressive 31.46 points out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 45 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection, making it one of the safest cars for children in India.

Furthermore, the Punch EV scored 15.71 points out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.74 out of 16 in the side moveable deformable barrier test. While the variant tested as part of the BNCAP crash test was the Empowered+ S Long Range, the five-star ratings apply to the entire lineup, including both medium-range and long-range versions.

Tata Punch EV Safety Features

The standard Tata Punch EV safety features include six airbags, ABS and ESC, seat belt reminders, speed warning alerts, hill hold assist, ESP, reverse parking sensors, and iTPMS. The higher variants of the Punch EV are offered with additional advanced safety features such as a 360-degree camera system, blind spot monitoring system, SOS calling function, and more.

The Tata Punch EV is offered in two versions: medium-range with a 25 kWh battery and long-range with a 35 kWh battery. The medium-range version boasts a claimed range of up to 315 km, while the long-range version boasts a claimed range of up to 421 km on a single charge.
