Tata Nexon EV 40.5kWh discontinued in India — Two battery options left now

Tata Motors recently made changes to the Tata Nexon EV's battery options. When the 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift was launched, it came with two battery packs: 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh. In September 2024, Tata introduced a larger 45 kWh battery option.
However, the company has now discontinued the Tata Nexon EV LR variant, which was paired with the 40.5 kWh battery. As a result, only two battery options remain. Official website no longer lists Tata Nexon EV 40.5kWh variant

The Tata Nexon EV 40.5 kWh variant offered 145PS of power and 215Nm of torque. It came with a claimed range of 390 km and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds. However, the official Tata Motors EV website’s new price list no longer includes the variant with the 40.5 kWh battery pack. Now, only the 30 kWh and 45 kWh battery pack options are available.

The Tata Nexon EV price ranges from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh. It is available in seven variants: Creative, Creative +, Fearless, Fearless +, Fearless +S, Empowered, and Empowered +. The Creative and Empowered + variants don't come with the smaller 30kWh battery pack, while the Creative +, Fearless +, and Fearless +S variants are not available with the larger 45kWh battery pack. The Tata Nexon EV is also offered in the Red Dark Edition paired with the 45kWh battery pack, priced at Rs 17.19 lakh.
