Tata Motors July 2024 Sales - Passenger Vehicle Sales Down By 6%

Tata Motors has announced their sales numbers for the month of July 2024. Tata Motors sold a total of 71,996 vehicles in July 2024, including both domestic and international sales. This was a 10.7% decline as compared to the sales for July 2023, which stood at 80,633 units. Here’s a detailed report on the sales figures of Tata Motors for the month of July 2024.

Tata Motors July 2024 Sales: Domestic Market

Out of the 71,996 vehicles sold in July 2024, 70,161 units were sold in the domestic market, and the remaining 1,835 units were exported. In July 2023, Tata Motors sold 78,844 units in India, which translates to an 11% Y-o-Y decline.

Tata Cars July 2024 Sales: Passenger Vehicles

Tata Motors sold a total of 44,954 passenger vehicles in July 2024, which was a 6% decline as compared to the 47,689 units sold in July 2023. Domestic sales stood at 44,725 units, while exports accounted for a meagre 229 units. Out of the 44,954 units sold, 5,027 were EVs while the rest were ICE-powered passenger vehicles. The sale of EVs declined by 21% from the same month last year.

Tata Commercial Vehicles July 2024 Sales

All categories of commercial vehicles were in the red on the sales charts, except passenger carriers, which saw a marginal 3% rise. Domestic commercial vehicle sales stood at 25,436 units, which was a 19% decline from 31,216 units sold last year. Exports fell from 1,728 units to 1,606 units. Total commercial vehicle sales declined by 18%.
