Outline

Tata Motors launched the new Curvv and Curvv.ev last month in the Indian market, debuting the coupe SUV body style in its portfolio. While the Curvv doesn’t have direct rivals, the ICE and EV counterparts of the coupe SUV go against the likes of the C-segment SUVs like the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Citroen Basalt. In this article, we share the Tata Curvv waiting period, which covers both the Curvv ICE and Curvv.ev SUVs.

Tata Curvv waiting period

Starting with the Tata Curvv ICE, the waiting period for the petrol and diesel variants of the coupe SUV goes up to two months, depending on the variant and powertrain configuration. The waiting period for the manual variants of both petrol and diesel engines go up to 4 weeks, except for the base Smart variant, which commands a wating period of 8 weeks.

Since most buyers in this class opt for higher variants coupled with autoboxes, the higher variants of the Curvv with automatic dual-clutch transmissions are in higher demand. As a result, the automatic variants of the 125PS petrol and 117PS diesel engine options command the highest waiting period of up to 8 weeks. The 120PS petrol DCT variants and 125PS petrol manual variants, on the other hand, have a waiting period of 6 weeks.

Moving to the Curvv.ev, which was launched earlier than the Curvv, it actually commands a lower waiting period, owing to the slip in demand for EV cars in general. As a result, the waiting period for the Curvv.ev has reduced to one month compared to the two-month waiting period at launch. While the Curvv.ev continues to retail between Rs 17.5 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh, Tata Motors has reduced the prices of its EV range by up to Rs 3 lakh for a limited duration, in order to boost sales.
