At the launch of the Tata Curvv.EV, Tata Motors also revealed the detailed features and specifications of the upcoming Curvv SUV. The Tata Curvv will offer a choice of two petrol and one diesel engine option paired with both manual and dual-clutch automatic transmission options. The Curvv coupe SUV will rival the slew of C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. In this article, we share the Tata Curvv dimensions, engine specifications and features.
Tata Curvv Dimensions
Let’s begin with the dimensions of the Tata Curvv, which falls in the C-SUV segment. The Tata Curvv measures 4,308mm in length, 1,810mm in width and 1,630mm in height and boasts a wheelbase of 2,560mm. While all of its dimensions are on par with the other C-segment SUVs, the Tata Curvv falls short when it comes to wheelbase, despite being underpinned by a new platform. Tata’s new platform, which is called ATLAS, underpins the Curvv which is also capable of comprising other top hats, body styles and powertrain options. Speaking of powertrains, the new Tata Curvv will offer 3 powertrain options, the details of which are shared below.

Tata Curvv Engine, Transmission Options
The highlight of the Tata Curvv is the introduction of the new gasoline direct injection turbocharged petrol engine, called the Hyperion. This new engine was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and it boasts of multiple advancements that are unseen in any Tata car before. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Hyperion engine produces 125PS of power at 5000rpm and 225Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 3000rpm. The new petrol engine powers the higher variants, or as Tata likes to call it as Personas, while the lower variants come equipped with the same Nexon’s 120PS 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
The diesel engine is also carried over from the Nexon and it produces 117PS of power at 4000rpm and 260Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2750rpm. Another highlight of the new Curvv is the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which is available with all the three engine options, alongside a 6-speed manual transmission.

Tata Curvv Launch Date
While Tata Motors has revealed all the details of the Curvv coupe SUV, the launch is still a month away. The Curvv.EV has been launched at a starting price of Rs 17.49 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. However, the Tata Curvv prices will be announced on September 2, following the promise of Tata Motors launching the Curvv ICE after the Curvv.EV. Since the Tata Curvv.EV is priced competitively, we expect Tata Motors to price the Curvv competitively too, giving a hard sell to its C-segment SUV rivals.
