Tata Curvv EV Unveiled Ahead Of Launch In August - Details

Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the production-spec Curvv coupe SUV ahead of its India launch on August 7, 2024. In this article, we share everything we know so far about Tata’s latest and also the only mass-market coupe SUV in India. In addition, we also look at all the details that are changed over the Curvv concept. 

Tata Curvv EV Production Design Unveiled

While Tata has officially unveiled the Curvv EV ahead of its launch, most of the details are still behind the curtains. The biggest takeaway from the Curvv EV’s unveil is its design, which is now production-ready. Tata Motors has revealed the exterior images of the Curvv EV, which depict how the production-spec Curvv EV would look like.

Tata Curvv EV Design Changes Over Concept Model

Tata Motors first showcased the Curvv EV in April 2022 and a lot has changed compared to the Curvv Concept first showcased. Starting with the frontal design, while the Curvv EV carries the connected LED DRL, its design is similar to that of the Nexon EV and not the initial concept. Furthermore, the charging port in the Curvv EV is placed at the centre of the front profile whereas the concept model had the charging port on its rear side panel.

The side profile remains the closest to the concept model. It features a sloping roof line with a neat spoiler placement. The wheel arch cladding comes finished in gloss black and the only perceptible change over the concept is the different alloy wheel design. Around the back, the Curvv EV gets the connected LED light bar. What’s missing is the wraparound stop light around the rear windscreen, which was there on the Curvv Concept. 

Overall, there have been only a handful of changes with the Curvv EV over the first showcased Curvv Concept. Tata Motors is yet to reveal the interior images as well as battery and powertrain specifications of the Curvv EV, which are expected to be fully disclosed on its launch. Tata Curvv EV launch is slated to take place on August 7, 2024.
