Outline

Launched earlier this year in September, the Tata Curvv has already caught the eye of many, and Tata isn't wasting any time in building on its momentum. The carmaker is set to introduce four new variants of the model soon, with the New Tata Curvv CNG being one of the most anticipated.

There's also speculation that these variants could be a Tata Curvv Dark Edition. However, looking at Tata Motors' past patterns, where they've introduced CNG powertrains to models later, it's highly likely that the same strategy will apply here. So, if you're curious about what to expect, keep reading! Below, I’ve outlined the top 5 things to expect from the upcoming Tata Curvv CNG launch.

Tata Curvv CNG exterior might mirror ICE version styling

2024 Tata Curvv ICE Front Profile

The Tata Curvv CNG design is expected to follow in the footsteps of its ICE counterpart, with some minor tweaks like a new logo and slight adjustments. However, it will retain the same front design, featuring connected LED DRLs, a sleek grille, and a coupe-inspired body. The rear will also sport a similar connected taillight element, just like the other variants, maintaining the overall stylish look.

The upcoming Curvv CNG Features are expected to offer the same impressive set of amenities as the standard Curvv. This includes 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen, 10.25-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, wireless charger, ventilated seats, sunroof, air purifier with an AQI display, 9 speakers, alloy wheels, 6-way powered driver seat, glovebox, mood lighting, cruise control, and much more.

Tata Curvv CNG safety features - What's new?

The Tata Curvv CNG safety features will include advanced precautions like a micro switch to keep the car turned off during refuelling, leak detection, specialized materials in the iCNG kit to prevent leakage, fire protection devices, and thermal incident protection.

Other safety elements, similar to the Tata Curvv ICE, are also expected to be included in the CNG variant, such as 6 airbags, TPMS, ABS, hill-hold assist, 360-degree camera, parking sensors, EDB, auto hold, and more.

If the new variant is launched, there are expectations that the Tata CUVV could borrow the familiar CNG powertrain found in the Tata Nexon. The Nexon iCNG is powered by a 1.2L Turbocharged Revotron Engine, delivering 100PS at 5000 rpm and 170Nm of torque between 2000-3000 rpm. It's paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

While it's not unusual for different models within the same brand to share an engine, it’s worth noting that the Tata CUVV also features the same 1.2L Turbocharged Revotron engine seen in the Nexon.
