Suzuki Swift Crash Test Rating - Scores 3 Stars In Euro NCAP

Euro NCAP recently crash tested the new Suzuki Swift and has released the Suzuki Swift Crash Test Rating. The fourth generation of the Suzuki Swift scored three out of five stars in the crash test. It is imperative to note that the car tested by Euro NCAP was the Euro-spec Swift, which is different from the Maruti Suzuki Swift that we get in the Indian market. Euro NCAP Crash Tests

The Euro NCAP test is a much more comprehensive test than the one carried out by Global NCAP. It consists of various stages including frontal impact, rear impact, lateral impact, rescue and extrication. The overall ratings are given based on four broad parameters — adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, vulnerable road user protection and safety assist. 

Suzuki Swift 2024 Euro NCAP Test

The Euro-spec Suzuki Swift scored three stars in the Euro NCAP test. It scored 67% in adult occupant protection, 65% in child occupant protection, 76% in vulnerable road user protection and 62% in safety assist. The Suzuki Swift that was crash tested was also equipped with various ADAS features and other safety features, which are absent in the Indian-spec Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Swift recently secured a four star rating in the Japanese NCAP test.

Indian-spec Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024

The Indian-spec Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with the 1.2-litre Z-series engine. This three-pot engine produces 81.58 PS of power and generates 111.7Nm of torque. It can be paired to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The new Swift is equipped with features such as cruise control, wireless charger, 6-airbags, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, 6 speakers and rear wiper with washer. The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is priced from Rs 6.49 Lakh to Rs 9.59 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
