Skoda Auto India has officially announced a price hike across its entire model range, which will come into effect soon. With other carmakers already confirming their upcoming price increases, Skoda has also joined the list. Interestingly, the price hike will impact the new Skoda Kylaq model as well, but there’s a slight catch that might offer some relief to buyers.

Which Skoda cars will be affected and why?

Skoda Auto has revealed that it will increase the prices of its models, including the Skoda Kushaq, Slavia, Superb, and Kodiaq, starting from January 1, 2025. According to Skoda Auto, "This adjustment is necessitated by rising input and operational costs, ensuring the company continues to deliver high-quality, premium vehicles and services to its customers.”

Skoda Kylaq prices will increase soon — But there's a Catch

For those late buyers who are considering the Skoda Kyalq but are still waiting, this might not be the news you’d want to hear. The price hike will also impact the newly launched Skoda Kylaq. However, there’s a slight relief as this hike won’t happen right after the new year begins. Instead, it will take effect when the Skoda Kylaq bookings reach the milestone of 33,333.

While it seems there’s still some time before this target is achieved, buyers should remain cautious. Recently, the Skoda Kylaq base variant bookings were closed after crossing 3,000 bookings in just 10 days. If this trend continues, reaching the new booking milestone might not take too long.

For those who want to own a Skoda car, this news could be more "bank-breaking" than heart-breaking. In the Skoda model range, the Skoda Kylaq is priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh. The Skoda Slavia comes with a price range starting at Rs 10.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.69 lakh. The Skoda Kushaq is available from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 18.79 lakh. Moving further up, the Skoda Kodiaq is priced at Rs 39.99 lakh ex-showroom.  At the top of the lineup, the most premium offering, the Skoda Superb, is priced at Rs 54.00 lakh.
