Renault Triber CNG launched in these 5 states — All details inside

As we reported earlier, Renault India has finally introduced a CNG powertrain option with its sub-compact family-mover—the Triber. The Renault Triber CNG is being offered with a dealer-level CNG kit retrofitment that comes with 3 years of warranty. As a result, it is considerably cheaper than its comparative CNG alternatives. Read on to know more about the Renault Triber CNG and the states it will initially be available in.

Renault Triber CNG price and availability

The Renault Triber CNG has been priced at a premium of Rs 79,500 over the standard model. The carmaker is yet to share the detail price list of the Triber CNG and the variants it will be available in. We assume that since it’s a dealer-level fitment, customers will get to spec the CNG kit with any of the variants. However, it is worth mentioning that the Triber CNG is only available with the petrol manual variants of the MPV.

Coming to the Renault Triber CNG availability, the CNG kits for the Triber will initially be available in 5 states across India that are Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. As per Renault, these five states represent 65% of the total market and we assume that more states will be included into the plan at a later date. It is worth mentioning that Renault India will offer a 3 year standard warranty with the Triber CNG that covers 3 years/1,00,000 km, whichever comes first.

The 1.0-litre petrol engine of the Triber delivers 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque in the standard mode. The Triber CNG is likely to see a considerable dip in power and torque outputs over that of the standard petrol iteration, however, the carmaker is yet to share the Triber CNG specifications. In turn, it should offer considerably better fuel economy than the Triber petrol.
