Renault Bigster hybrid India launch likely — Top things to know

Renault India is planning to launch the latest generation of the Duster in India in the coming months. There are speculations that the French carmaker might also bring the larger Bigster to India, that too with the option of a hybrid powertrain. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Renault Bigster.

2026 Renault Bigster hybrid powertrain

While the India-spec Duster is likely to get a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid setup, there’s no news about the Bigster’s powertrain as of now. It might get the same setup as the Duster though. Apart from the speculated hybrid powertrains, the Duster-Bigster duo will naturally come with the option of petrol ones.

Upcoming Renault Bigster design

The Bigster is essentially a stretched version of the Duster, and gets the same styling cues. There’s a boxier profile at the rear, while the front features a comparatively softer treatment. The headlights, rear lights, and other trims feature triad-like shapes that are distinct to the duo. Measuring around 230mm longer than the Duster, the Bigster has a wheelbase of 2,700mm.

On the inside, you see the same triads on the air-con vents that look rather good. Key Renault Bigster features include dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ADAS functionalities, cooled centre console, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, and more.

Renault Bigster India launch timeline

The Renault Bigster launch in India is likely to follow the Renault Duster launch in India, which is likely to happen by the end of this year or sometime next year.
