Third generation Honda Amaze
The Amaze was given a generational update earlier this month. The new Amaze gets a redesigned exterior with the face of an Elevate and the rear of a City. The side profile remains signature to the Amaze’s design, and it continues to be offered with a four-cylinder petrol engine, unlike most of its rivals that have shifted to three-cylinder motors. The Honda Amaze interior has also been revamped, with a new dashboard layout and added features.
Old Honda Amaze and new Honda Amaze to be sold together
Both the old Amaze and the new Amaze shall be sold at the same time, a strategy that isn’t really new for our market. The Amaze’s main competitor, the Maruti Dzire, also continues to be sold in two successive generations at the same time. While Maruti Suzuki has decided to only offer the previous generation Dzire to commercial buyers, the Amaze is available to both commercial and private customers. It continues to be listed on the official Honda Cars India website alongside the new generation.
Neither of the two generations of the Honda Amaze are offered with the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit though, unlike the Dzire. The manual variants can, however, be fitted with a CNG kit at the dealer level. You can also check out used second generation Honda Amaze cars in India here.
