Next-Gen Honda Amaze Launch Pushed To December 2024

A couple of weeks back, we reported that Honda Cars India will launch the next-gen Amaze compact sedan in September 2024. However, a new media report suggests that the carmaker has run into some delays, which has resulted in the Honda Amaze India launch pushed to late-2024. Read on to know more about the Honda Amaze India launch timeline and other details. 

Honda Amaze India Launch Delayed

As we mentioned earlier, we earlier believed that Honda will launch the new Amaze in September, ahead of the festive season in order to take advantage of the higher demand. However, the carmaker is now likely to launch the new Amaze in late 2024. While there is no fixed timeline for the same, we expect Honda Amaze launch to take place between November and December 2024. Honda Amaze’s arch rival, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is also set to receive a generation change, like the Swift hatchback.

Next-Gen Honda Amaze Design

As obvious as it gets, the new Honda Amaze will come with a fresh styling inside-out. Surprisingly, we have not managed to get any spied images of the next-gen Honda Amaze across the web, which is not the case in the mass-market segment atleast. Cars are often spotted on the roads wearing heavy camouflage and emission-testing equipment. Since the new-gen Amaze has not been spotted, we do not have an idea as to how it would look in real life. However, several reports claim that the new Amaze will take inspiration from the larger Honda sedans like the Civic and Accord.

Next-Gen Honda Amaze Interior And Features

Coming to the interior, the next-gen Honda Amaze is likely to offer a revamped dashboard design featuring new design elements. The current Honda Amaze comes with a basic interior design that has started to feel dated now. Like the exterior, we can expect Honda to take a few cues from the larger sedan offerings. On the features front, the Honda Amaze could offer new features such as wireless smartphone charger, standard six airbags, lane-watch camera, new digital instrument cluster and more.

2024 Honda Amaze Platform

While there is no concrete information on this, reports claim that the next-generation Honda Amaze will sit on a new platform. The new platform is already seen on the City and Elevate and Honda is likely to make some changes to make it cost effective for a small car like the Amaze. The new platform should mean better compliance to crash safety as well as better road manners thanks to the premium underpinnings.

Next-Gen Honda Amaze Powertrain Options

The next-gen Honda Amaze will continue to carry the same 1.2-litre normal petrol engine. The engine currently comes with the choice of two transmission options — a 5-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission. However, Honda can tune the engine for better response and power delivery while also offering better fuel efficiency than before.
