Next-Gen Honda Amaze First Spied Images Out Ahead Of Launch

The next-gen Honda Amaze images have surfaced online for the first time, where it was caught on test wearing heavy camouflage. As per reports, the next-gen Amaze will make its India debut by December 2024, whereas its launch is likely to take place in January 2025. In this article, we take a detailed look at the first images and try to find out what all is going to change with the new-generation Honda Amaze. 

Next-Gen Honda Amaze Spied

Up until now, we were only guessing as to what all changes the new Amaze could bring but the new spy shots clear the air and give us some clue about the improvements. The first images give us a glimpse of the rear profile of the upcoming sedan, which has not changed all that much over the outgoing model. The biggest takeaway is the tail light, which showcases the smoked finish, however, the design of the tail lights is hard to determine owing to the presence of camouflage.

Other details visible in the spied image is the presence of a shark fin antenna, reverse parking camera and 3 individual headrests for the rear bench seat. It is not very clear from the images, but it seems like the new Amaze will also offer a lane watch camera attached to its left-side ORVM, like the Honda City and Elevate. The lane watch camera helps the driver to negate the blind spot and manoeuvre safely on the roads.

Next-Gen Honda Amaze Interior And Features

Coming to the interior, the next-gen Honda Amaze is likely to offer a revamped dashboard design featuring new design elements. The current Honda Amaze comes with a basic interior design that has started to feel dated now. Like the exterior, we can expect Honda to take a few cues from the larger sedan offerings. On the features front, the Honda Amaze could offer new features such as wireless smartphone charger, standard six airbags, lane-watch camera, new digital instrument cluster and more.

2024 Honda Amaze Platform

While there is no concrete information on this, reports claim that the next-generation Honda Amaze will sit on a new platform. The new platform is already seen on the City and Elevate and Honda is likely to make some changes to make it cost effective for a small car like the Amaze. The new platform should mean better compliance to crash safety as well as better road manners thanks to the premium underpinnings.

Next-Gen Honda Amaze Powertrain Options

The next-gen Honda Amaze will continue to carry the same 1.2-litre normal petrol engine. The engine currently comes with the choice of two transmission options — a 5-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission. However, Honda can tune the engine for better response and power delivery while also offering better fuel efficiency than before. The presence of emission testing equipment on the Amaze test car confirms that Honda is indeed testing the powertrain, which could boast a few changes for better performance and efficiency.
