Skoda has four cars on sale in India at present, two being their global models and two India-specific ones. Both their global models — Superb and Kodiaq — have undergone generational updates in international markets, and a top executive from Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the same shall be making their way to India next year. Here are key details about the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq and Skoda Superb.
2025 Skoda Superb
The Superb is Skoda’s flagship car globally, and has received much love in India too, especially the previous generations. It was discontinued a while back and was relaunched as a CBU offering, bumping up its price to an astounding Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, has confirmed that the new generation Skoda Superb shall be making its way to India in 2025, and it might be assembled in the country too, potentially bringing down its price and thus making it more appealing.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq
The Kodiaq has been doing respectable numbers when compared to its sister car, the Volkswagen Tiguan. Petr also confirmed the launch of the new generation Skoda Kodiaq in 2025, and the same will be assembled in the country. The new Kodiaq has also been seen testing in Aurangabad and the cars are set to start getting assembled March 2025 onwards.

New Skoda Superb & Kodiaq engines
Both the cars are expected to retain the 2.0-litre TSI motor in the same tune that is currently available on these Skoda cars in India. This turbo-petrol engine has been tuned to put out 190PS of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque. The 7-speed dual-clutch ‘box is also likely to continue. Globally, the Superb and Kodiaq are offered with a varied choice of powertrains, from diesels to hybrids.
Modern Solid design language
Skoda is adopting a new ‘Modern Solid’ design language that it has debuted with the recently revealed Skoda Kylaq sub-compact SUV. The next-gen Superb and Kodiaq also follow the new theme, featuring the classic octagonal grille at the front along with redesigned air intakes. The front and rear lamps have been redesigned too, so have the alloy wheels. The 2-D Skoda logo replaces the erstwhile 3 dimensional one.
Revamped interior and features
The interior of the cars have been redesigned too, adopting a minimalist theme. There’s a 13-inch touchscreen unit at the centre of the dashboard along with three rotary dials, one of which is customisable. Other features include a 10-inch virtual cockpit (digital driver’s display), sunroof, multi-zone climate control, seat ventilation, and more. The cars are also expected to come equipped with an ADAS suite.
