Nissan India has launched the new 2024 Magnite in India with a long list of updates, new variants, updated colour options and as many as 20+ segment-first features. With prices starting from just Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), no major changes have been made to the pricing of the new Nissan Magnite. Having said this, here are the top 5 things you need to know about the new Nissan Magnite.

Most affordable compact SUV

The 2024 Nissan Magnite price in India starts from just Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes all the way to Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the range-topping Tekna+ turbo CVT variant. While this makes the new Magnite the most affordable compact SUV in the Indian market at the moment, it is worth noting that these are only introductory prices and will apply to the first 10,000 deliveries.

It looks better than before!

The latest iteration of the SUV features an updated front fascia, highlighted by a redesigned grille with large chrome and gloss-black accents, reworked headlamp internals with signature LED DRLs, and a new bumper with more prominent faux skid plates and integrated fog lamps, all contributing to its bold road presence. Its best-in-class ground clearance and muscular design further emphasize the SUV's rugged character.

While the side profile mostly remains the same, you do get a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels and functional roof rails with a rated 50kg load-carrying capacity. Things at the rear too are more or less similar except for a few updates including new LED tail lights that look premium and upmarket. For those wondering, there is a new Sunrise Copper colour shade too for those looking for a brighter and more attractive colour option.

It feels different from inside

Inside, the new Magnite SUV features a dual-tone copper and black colour scheme for the dashboard, door panels, and leatherette seat upholstery, featuring a distinctive "Honeycomb" quilting pattern. Apart from this, while the dashboard layout remains similar to the outgoing model, new textured panels have been added to the door pads and seats, along with a new four-colour ambient lighting setup. The audio system is handled by a 3D sound setup from ARKAMYS, catering to modern customers.

On the features front, the Magnite continues to be offered with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen system with wireless mobile connectivity features, rear AC vents, auto climate control, a 360-degree camera, and a wireless charger. New features like an updated 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster with revised graphics, new auto headlamps, auto-dimming IRVM, new type-C charging ports, and a new key fob with remote start are also on offer.

Other than this, the higher-spec variants get features like auto-dimming IRVM, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors and hill hold assist. In addition to all these safety features, the new Magnite also boasts a solid build quality enhanced by a reinforced body structure made with 67% advanced and high tensile strength steel.

The new 2024 Nissan Magnite continues to get the same engine options as the outgoing versions. These include a 1.0-litre NA petrol engine capable of delivering 72hp and 96Nm of maximum torque and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with a rated output of 100hp and 160Nm of peak torque. Both these engines are offered with manual as well as automatic gearbox options but it is the Nissan Magnite CVT turbo which is the most powerful and practical for most conditions.

As far as Nissan Magnite mileage is concerned, while the 1.0-litre NA manual delivers 19.4kmpl, the same engine when paired to the 5-speed AMT unit is claimed to deliver 19.7kmpl. The turbo manual on the other hand is claimed to deliver 19.9kmpl and the CVT versions get a claimed mileage of 17.9kmpl.
