The new Maruti Swift crash test results for adult occupant protection show a score of 18.88 out of 40, achieving just 47%. As per the Australian NCAP report “A multi-collision braking system is not fitted. It was demonstrated that, if the car entered water, the doors of the Suzuki Swift would remain functional for the minimum required time period, though window opening functionality was not demonstrated.”

For the child occupant protection, the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift has achieved slightly better scores compared to the adult occupant protection. However, the results are just decent, with a total score of 29.24 out of 49. Under this test, it scored 5.47 points out of 16 in the dynamic test (front), 5.54 points out of 8 in the dynamic test (side), 11.22 points out of 12 in restraint installation, and 7.00 points out of 13 in on-board safety features.

In the New Swift's vulnerable road sser protection results, which include physical pedestrian impact tests, the overall performance showed improvement, scoring 48.40 out of 63. In tests like knee & tibia protection, pelvis protection, femur protection, AEB pedestrian (forward), AEB cyclist, and LSS motorcycle, the vehicle performed from good to adequate.

The new Swift safety assist test scored 9.78 out of 18. Its features, like the seat belt reminder, driver monitoring, and speed assistance system, performed poorly. However, the AEB/AES and lane support system helped improve the overall performance, making it a decent result.

India-spec new Maruti Swift: Star Rating Details
The new India-spec Maruti Swift safety rating has not been revealed yet. The 4th-gen Maruti Swift, launched on May 9, 2024, has not undergone Bharat NCAP crash testing. As of now, no Maruti Suzuki model has been tested under Bharat NCAP. It’s unclear if Maruti plans to send the new Swift for to Bharat NCAP testing soon.
Regarding the new Maruti Swift Global NCAP safety rating, it is also unavailable. However, the previous-gen Swift, tested earlier, received only a 1-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection.
2024 Maruti Swift safety features in India
The Maruti Suzuki features in terms of safety include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, hill hold assist, reverse parking sensors, front seatbelts with pre-tensioner and force limiter, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, speed-sensitive automatic door locks, seatbelt reminders with buzzers for both front and rear seats, an engine immobilizer, a high-speed alert system, and warning lamps/reminders for low fuel and door ajar notifications.
On the higher variants, the new Maruti Swift safety features add more, such as a wide-angle rear parking camera, a security alarm system for doors and the hood, a day and night adjustable inside rearview mirror, and a driver seat height adjuster.
