New Mahindra Thar Roxx Mocha Grey interior to replace Ivory White colour — Details

Earlier, we were familiar with just two interior themes for the 5-door Mahindra Thar Roxx – Ivory White and Mocha Brown. Now, the Mahindra Thar Roxx interior colour options are set to get an update with a new theme, Mocha Grey, which has already started arriving at dealerships. Based on feedback about Ivory White, it seems this option may be discontinued. Let's take a closer look at the details of the New Mahindra Thar Roxx Mocha Grey interior. Apart from these changes, will there be any other updates?

New Mahindra Thar Roxx Mocha Grey interior

When launched, the Mahindra Thar Roxx interior colour option only had a single choice – Ivory White. Later, after accepting feedback regarding the light interior and the concerns about maintaining it, Mahindra introduced a new interior shade – Mocha Brown – in October 2024, but it was available only with the Mahindra Thar Roxx 4X4 variants.

However, not everyone can afford the Mahindra Thar Roxx 4X4 variants, which sit at a higher price point, making Ivory White a more affordable option. While it’s expected that this new interior shade will replace Ivory White, there has been no official statement or confirmation yet, and the website still needs to be updated.

On a more positive note, the New Mahindra Thar Roxx Mocha Grey interior will address customers' concerns about it getting dirty very easily, while still keeping that same classy interior feel.

The batch of Mahindra Thar Roxx new interior units has already started arriving at dealerships. It’s expected that the price won’t change, and aside from the new interior options, no other major changes will happen.

Recent and upcoming changes to the Mahindra Thar Roxx

Recently, the Mahindra Thar Roxx was updated with three new features, including two interior upgrades and one exterior change towards the rear, which we’ve already covered in our previous stories. Along with this, Mahindra has also announced that it will increase the prices across its model range by up to 3%. This means that the price of the Mahindra Thar Roxx will soon go up, marking the second price hike of the year for this model.

Mahindra Thar Roxx price

Take a look at the 2025 Mahindra Thar Roxx price list:

The Mahindra Thar Roxx base price starts at Rs 12.99 lakh, while the Thar Roxx top model price goes up to Rs 23.09 lakh. The price difference between the base and top trims of the Mahindra Thar Roxx is Rs 10.10 lakh.

Mahindra Thar Roxx engine specs

The Mahindra Thar Roxx comes with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine that delivers 177PS and 330Nm of torque when paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. With the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, the power drops to 162PS, while the torque remains at 330Nm. 

There is also a 2.2L diesel engine option. The diesel engine with the 6-speed manual gearbox produces 152PS and 380Nm of torque. When paired with the 6-speed torque converter automatic, it delivers 175PS and 330Nm, but this is available only in the MX3 and MX5 variants. For the AX5L and AX7L variants with the same automatic gearbox, the diesel engine produces 152PS and 370Nm of torque.
