The Mahindra Thar ROXX has made its way to the shelves, and will be up for grabs from October 3, 2024. Staying true to its rugged character on the outside, the Thar ROXX might surprise you when you step inside this ‘modern SUV’. Generously outfitted with the latest technology and a comfortable interior, the Thar ROXX gets a lot of features at a digestible price point. Here are the new Mahindra Thar ROXX key features. 

 

Seats

 

The Thar ROXX gets ventilated seats on the front, and reclinable seats at the back, maximising comfort for all the passengers. The seats are finished with leatherette upholstery, adding to the premium feel. The light colours might not be very friendly to the dirt and mud off the road though. The driver’s seat comes with 6-way electric adjustment, and there’s a leather-wrapped steering wheel as well.

Technology

 

Mahindra Thar ROXX gets a dual-screen setup on the dashboard with 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation. There’s a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system on board, including a subwoofer and DTS sound staging. The ROXX also gets 360-degree cameras, blind spot monitors, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a cooled glovebox, engine start-stop button, cruise control, and a large panoramic sunroof.

Safety Features

 

Mahindra has ensured to pack a host of safety features into the Thar ROXX. The variants placed up the line get Level-2 ADAS with auto emergency braking, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and seven more functionalities. 6 airbags are standard across all trims, along with three-point seatbelts for all passengers, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill-hold control, hill descent control, roll-over mitigation, brake locking differential, brake disc wiping and more.

Exterior

 

The Thar ROXX gets LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, in addition to LED rear lights. There’s an option for 18-inch or 19-inch wheel sizes, side-footsteps to assist ingress and egress, rear-mounted spare wheel and automatic wipers and headlights.

Price In India

 

Coming to the aspect that matters the most — how much will you have to shell out to drive this SUV off the shelves to your garage. The Mahindra Thar ROXX starting price stands at Rs 12.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the rear-wheel drive petrol manual base variant. The variants stuffed with all the features mentioned above will require you to shell out as much as Rs 20.49 Lakh, and a bit more for the taxes and insurance.
