It feels good to hear about a new sedan coming up every now and then, especially in an era where everything is just about SUVs. The last couple of months of this year are very relevant in this context, with two notable launches scheduled across these months — next-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and next-gen Honda Amaze. While the Dzire has already been unveiled and the official launch is going to take place in the coming week, the Amaze will arrive a little later, and we’re here to discuss the same in this article. Here’s more on the new Honda Amaze launch date in India.
2025 Honda Amaze
Honda is preparing to launch the third generation of its compact sedan in India, the Honda Amaze, featuring a brand new design, potentially a new platform, and updated features for the modern buyer. The new Amaze will be underpinned by a new platform, as per media reports.
New Honda Amaze launch date
As per reports, Honda will be launching the next-gen Amaze on December 4, 2024. This will be just about a month after the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire launch, which also happens to be one of its main competitors.

Upcoming Honda Amaze engine
The new Amaze is expected to carry over the same old engine from the current generation, which is a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol unit that puts out 90PS of maximum power and 110Nm of maximum torque. Expect the same set of gearboxes (5-speed MT and CVT) to be carried over as well. There might be a CNG option; there should be a CNG option. Honda is yet to confirm the same though.
New Amaze design
Honda just released a design sketch of the upcoming Honda Amaze that gives us an idea of how the front of the sedan will look. There’s a large radiator grille seen in the sketch, with twin-LED headlights on both sides that seem to be joined by a chrome bar. The sketch also reveals a muscular bonnet but the proportions can not be accurately judged as released design sketches are often exaggerated in order to build more curiosity around the product.

Expected features include 6 airbags as standard, ESC, wireless smartphone charger, lane-watch camera, digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360-degree cameras, sunroof, and more.
