New-gen Hyundai Venue India testing begins — Launch soon?
- 1Hyundai Venue is all set to step into a new generation
- 2India launch likely to take place in mid-2025
- 3To continue with the same set of powertrain options
Hyundai launched the first-generation Venue back in 2019 to contest in the highly competitive sub-compact SUV space and it took off to a good start. Later on, the carmaker also launched a mid-lifecycle facelift, which brought a fresh design and new features. However, with the rest of the competition moving on with new generation updates, the Venue has started to feel dated. The 2nd-gen Hyundai Venue has been spotted for the first time on Indian roads amid testing, hinting towards an imminent launch. Read on to know more about the new-gen Hyundai Venue design, features, engine options and launch details.
2nd-gen Hyundai Venue design
The test mule spotted on test was covered fully with camouflage, as a standard practice to keep all the new stuff tucked away from the eyes of onlookers. However, earlier spy shots reveal a bold design that the new Venue will boast, taking it away from the common criticism of not having enough butch looks. Its key design elements could include a larger radiator grille with block-like pattern, larger headlight and tail light clusters and sharper lines along the side, lending it a muscular stance. As a result, the new-gen Hyundai Venue could look a lot bigger than what it currently is in the outgoing model.

2025 Hyundai Venue interior
As we write this story, we have not managed to get our hands on any interior shots of the new Venue. Needless to say, Hyundai will leave no stones unturned to cram as many features as possible on the new Venue. A few of these features could include a larger infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a TFT instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS and more. All these aforementioned features are currently missing in the Venue and offered by most of its rivals.
New-gen Hyundai Venue engine options
On the powertrain front, we expect the new-gen Venue to carry the same set of powertrain options, which include the 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engines. Its 83PS 1.2-litre petrol engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only whereas the 120PS 1.0-litre turbocharged engine offers the choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, on the other hand, offers a 6-speed manual transmission only. With the generation update, we expect Hyundai to pair the diesel engine with an auto box also.
Given the fact that the powertrain options will remain the same with the new Venue, one can pick from a plethora of used Hyundai Venue cars that offer a perfect balance of peace of mind and affordability.
