Mini Cooper S Launched In India - Price Starts From Rs 44.9 Lakh

BMW Group has launched four new products for the Indian market today. These include the eighth-generation BMW 5 Series LWB, BMW CE 04 electric scooter, the fifth-generation Mini Cooper S and the all-electric Mini Countryman. With the 2024 Mini Cooper S price starting from Rs 44.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the customers this time will be offered with a long list of updates that make this generation better than before. Here are all the details about the recently launched 2024 Mini Cooper S you need to know.

New Mini Cooper S Design 

The Cooper S retains the classic design elements of the original Mini, including the round headlights, short front and rear overhangs, big wheels and the iconic Mini silhouette. These elements are smartly blended in with modern minimalist design cues to create what we know as the fifth-generation Mini Cooper S. It gets redesigned tail lights, which, quite frankly, don’t look as good as the previous ones. The Cooper S is available in 10 colours, and there are two additional design packs on offer — Classic Pack and Favoured Pack — for a more personalised styling. You can get either 17-inch or 18-inch wheels, depending upon the pack chosen.

Mini Cooper S Powertrain

The 2024 Mini Cooper S gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which produces 204hp and 300Nm of peak torque. It takes 6.6 seconds to reach a speed of 100kph from a standstill and has a top speed of 242kph. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Mini Cooper S Interior & Features

At the centre of the dashboard is a large circular touch-screen infotainment system, which replaces most of the physical controls and also adds voice commands. It gets three signature modes — Classic, Favoured and John Cooper Works — for the circular DRLs. You also get a head-up display, fisheye camera to record your ‘fun’ moments, Harman Kardon surround sound system, and more. There are multiple upholstery options too, such as standard double-cloth textile in black, sports seats with Vescin grey and JCW sports seats with Nightshade blue, just to list a few.

2024 Mini Cooper S Price In India

The new Mini Cooper S price starts from Rs 44.90 Lakh (ex-showroom), and it can be booked via the Mini Online Shop or your nearest dealership. The deliveries are set to begin from September 2024.
