MG Windsor EV bookings, deliveries dates announced - Check price here

MG India has launched the new MG Windsor EV at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh for the car and Rs 3.5/km for the battery. While this might sound like a complicated arrangement at first, we expect MG to soon come out with a detailed and simplified explanation of this process. MG also said that it will reveal a regular ex-showroom price for the Windsor EV prior to opening bookings for the same. Read ahead for more details on 2024 MG Windsor bookings and deliveries.

MG Windsor EV bookings & deliveries 

JSW MG Motor India has announced that it will open bookings for the new Windsor EV on October 3, 2024, and deliveries will start from October 12, 2024. MG has priced the Windsor at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the initial customers. Buyers will further have to pay Rs 3.5 per kilometre for every kilometre driven. This has been projected as the battery cost by the carmaker. It has also promised to announce a standard ex-showroom price including that of the battery prior to the official commencement of bookings. 

Battery, motor, and range

The Windsor EV comes with a 38kWh lithium-ion battery pack with prismatic cells, which sits on a skateboard EV platform. The battery pack feeds power to a front-mounted single motor that has a claimed range of 331 kilometres. The permanent magnet synchronous electric motor produces 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque. MG has not yet disclosed the charging time for the Windsor EV.

Windsor EV features

Some of the key MG Windsor features include lounge-like 135-degree multi-step reclining rear seats (which can also be finished in a premium-looking leather quilting material), ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera setup. The rear seats also offer a 60:40 split function. Coming to the screens, there’s a huge 15.6-inch infotainment system and an 8.8-inch TFT instrument cluster. The Windsor also comes with a 9-speaker system from Infinity, front & rear armrests with storage, and a large fixed glass roof.

Windsor EV variants and colour options

There are three variants on the Windsor’s portfolio, namely Excite, Exclusive and Essence. Colour options include Turquoise Green, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Starburst Black. Interior theme is common across all variants and colours, which is a black theme with gold inserts and accents.
