MG India June 2024 Sales In India – Electric Cars Contribute 40 Percent Sales

MG India has recorded a slight downfall in its total sales figures for June 2024. In comparison to May 2024, the MG India June 2024 sales volume has dropped slightly. However, on the brighter side, the EV sales have increased and the flagship EV by MG i.e. ZS EV, has achieved its highest-ever sales numbers. MG India June 2024 Sales: Detailed Analysis

The sales report for June 2024 for MG is a slight disappointment. The overall sales number stands at 4,644 units, including the ICE vehicles and EVs. However, in comparison to the sales of May 2024, this number is down by 125 units. Additionally, the year-on-year sales difference from June 2023 is also down by 9 per cent.

The interesting fact about the latest sales figure is that out of 4,644 units, 40 per cent of total sold cars are electric. In fact, MG’s flagship ZS EV has scored its highest-ever sales numbers. However, MG didn’t disclose the specific numbers for its products in the sales reports. For the ICE vehicles, it is the Hector SUV that continues to rule the sales charts for MG. 

Ever since the launch, the Comet EV has literally changed the game for MG India. This compact EV has been in continuous demand ever since its debut. It is practical, spacious, and comfortable to drive within the city, and its small dimensions help in easy parking and driving. Therefore, the results are now reflected on the sales charts with 40 per cent of EVs ruling the total sales. MG plans to introduce newer models by the end of 2024, including the MG Gloster facelift.
