MG Gloster facelift interior spied during testing: Top things to know

The testing for the upcoming MG Gloster facelift is ongoing, and we've been catching glimpses of its test mule through various spy shots. Recently, a new set of images surfaced, showcasing a closer look at the redesigned interior and other notable expected changes. MG Gloster Facelift interior leaked online

The latest spy shot reveals that the MG Gloster interior with familiar three-spoke steering wheel, while the freestanding infotainment screen appears larger compared to the outgoing model's 12.28-inch HD touchscreen. The AC vents have also undergone a redesign, now wider for improved airflow. The gear stick, previously located beside the wireless charger, has been repositioned further back in this facelift. Instead of a single dial, there are now two dials in place of the current Gloster's setup, with the electronic parking brake switch conveniently positioned between them. Additionally, the updated interior features dual wireless chargers instead of a single one. The cup holders have shifted from a vertical to a horizontal orientation. 

Amenities and safety: What’s inside!

As for what to expect from the features, the MG Gloster features will include a larger infotainment system, a digital cluster, dual wireless chargers, a Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof, a fully automatic powered tailgate, climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, 12 speakers, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and more.

On the safety side, it’s expected to have 6 airbags, automatic parking assist, Electronic Gear Shift with Auto Park, TPMS, Roll Movement Intervention, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, ESP, traction control, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and more. It will likely come with Level 2 ADAS features.

MG Gloster facelift engine specs

Under the hood, the MG Gloster engine specs are expected to remain consistent, featuring familiar powertrain options. The first is a 2-litre diesel turbo that delivers 161PS and 373.5Nm of torque. Additionally, there's a 2-litre diesel twin-turbo variant producing 215.5PS and 478.5Nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and buyers can anticipate the presence of both 4X2 and 4X4 drivetrain.

How will it look?

The exterior of the upcoming facelift is expected to draw design inspiration from the Maxus D90. You can likely anticipate some tweaks to the front face, featuring a redesigned grille and a refreshed headlamp design. At the rear, similar enhancements will be noticeable, with minor adjustments to improve its overall appeal. As for the sides, they are expected to remain unchanged.

MG Gloster Facelift Price: What to Expect

So, how much will it cost? The current MG Gloster price ranges from Rs 38.80 lakh to Rs 43.87 lakh. The new MG Gloster will start a bit higher, with prices beginning at Rs 39.00 lakh and going up to Rs 45.00 lakh. As for when it will launch, the upcoming MG Gloster facelift is expected to arrive by the end of this year.
