Outline

JSW MG Motor India has rolled out eHUB by MG, an initiative that aims to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in India by making the ownership experience convenient and eliminate most of the usual hassles around owning an electric vehicle. Here are more details about eHUB by MG, launched at MG’s DriEV.Bharat event today.

Unified Charging Platform

MG has termed eHUB as a unified charging platform, making charging solutions easily available to EV owners. This mobile application shows you charging stations of around 18 companies on a unified interface, making it quicker to locate your nearest EV charger. MG claims that eHUB encompasses 80% of fast chargers all across India. This charging ecosystem includes companies like Jio-BP, Shell, Bharat Petroleum, Adani Total Energies Limited, Verde Mobility, Earthtron EV, and Statiq. The application will show you the distance to the selected charger, the last time that it was used, the charger’s kilowattage, and the cost of charging per kWh.

Ease Of Payment

One of the key propositions of eHUB by MG is that it provides a one-stop platform for making payments for using EV chargers of multiple networks. Earlier, customers had to manage a different wallet for each company in order to use a charger of that particular network. With eHUB by MG, EV owners can make these payments through this single application.

Additional Features

There’s a lot that the eHUB application can do. EV owners can reserve a slot at a charging station at a time that they prefer. Seamless execution of this particular feature, though, is yet to be seen. There’s also a trip-planner feature, which allows you to locate all EV chargers on a recommended route to your destination. The eHUB by MG application is available in 11 languages — English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bangla, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Urdu, and Nepali.
