MG Comet EV price hiked in India — Old vs new price list

MG Motors has raised the prices of the MG Comet EV in India. The MG Comet EV price hike ranges from Rs 12,000 to Rs 19,000. After this increase, the MG Comet EV new price now falls between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The base variant remains unaffected by this hike, but other variants above it have seen a price increase. MG Comet EV price increased

The MG Comet EV variants include Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and 100-YEAR EDITION. The base variant, Executive, remains unaffected by the price hike and continues to be priced at Rs 6,99,800. The Comet Excite price has gone up by Rs 12,000, while the same variant with a fast charger gets a hike of Rs 17,000. The top Exclusive variant with normal charging has become Rs 14,000 more expensive.

The MG Comet EV price is highest in the Exclusive FC and Exclusive FC 100-YEAR EDITION variants, both of which have received a hike of Rs 19,000.

MG Comet EV battery specs and charging

The MG Comet EV battery has a capacity of 17.4 kWh and is paired with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It produces 42PS of power and 110Nm of torque. The MG Comet EV range is claimed to be 230 km.
