MG Cloud EV Launch In India Soon - Official Teaser Out

JSW MG Motor India has released a teaser of the upcoming MG Cloud EV, which is set to be launched in India this festive season. MG refers to the Cloud EV as its intelligent CUV. The MG Cloud EV will be the first of five MG cars to be launched by the brand over the next one year in the country. 

MG Cloud EV India Launch This Festive Season

The teaser gives us a glimpse of the front of the car, with sleek connected headlights. These look identical to the ones on the Wuling Cloud EV, which was recently showcased at the Indonesia Auto Show. The MG logo replaces that of the Wuling. The MG Cloud EV will be a crossover, which MG boldly claims will offer the best of both worlds — sedan and SUV. We also get a glimpse of a modern seat design, a panoramic sunroof, a five-spoke wheel design, and a steering wheel with controls.

Upcoming MG Cars In India

As reported earlier, MG Motors has plans to launch five new vehicles in India over the next 12 months. This announcement comes after MG Motors joined its hands with JSW Group. Three of the upcoming five cars will be mass market offerings and the remaining two will be more premium ones. The first of this lot — the MG Cloud EV — is likely to be launched this festive season. 

MG Cars Lineup In India

JSW MG India currently has five cars in its portfolio. These include the company’s best-selling SUV — MG Hector, MG Gloster, MG Astor, and two electric vehicles — MG ZS EV and MG Comet EV. The MG Comet EV is selling in good numbers too, making it MG’s second top-selling car, with 1,300 units sold last month.
