Outline

MG Motors has recently delivered a mix of good and bad news for MG Astor buyers. The bad news is that the prices of the Astor have been increased, effective immediately. However, the good news is that the price hike isn’t as heavy on the wallet as one might expect. The increase ranges from Rs 20,000 to Rs 27,000, depending on the variant, which includes the Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. Thankfully, the base Sprint variant remains unaffected and retains its previous price. Let's dive deeper into the details surrounding this price adjustment and what it means for potential buyers.

How much has the MG Astor price gone up?

The MG Astor has undergone a price increase across its range. The second base variant, Shine, equipped with the petrol MT engine, now costs an additional Rs 20,000. Similarly, the mid-variant Select, available with both petrol MT and CVT options, has also experienced hikes of Rs 20,000 and Rs 21,000, respectively. As the variants get higher, the price increases also become slightly steeper, with the Sharp Pro petrol MT and CVT trims seeing hikes of Rs 24,000 and Rs 26,000, respectively.

The highest price increase is seen in the top-end Savvy Pro variant, which goes up by Rs 27,000. This uniform Rs 27,000 hike applies to the 1.3 turbo petrol model with the Sangria Red interior, as well as the 1.5-litre petrol CVT models available in both Ivory and Sangria Red interiors.
