Design & Feature Details
Teased ahead of its official launch, the upcoming EQA will be the entry-level EV by Mercedes in India and will be positioned below the EQB. Based on the same platform as the GLA, the new EQA might remind you of the GLA from many angles. Despite that, the EV design philosophy flows throughout its design. For starters, the front has distinctive LED headlights with a connected LED bar on the front grille while the bumper features aero dams for better airflow. The side profile is dominated by new EV-specific alloy wheels and the highlight of the rear design remains a new connected LED tail-light setup.
The cabin design is also identical to that of the GLA but does get a few changes to differentiate it. The dashboard has EV-inspired highlights with turbine AC vents and a dual 10.2-inch connected screen setup. The EQA is expected to be equipped with a Burmester music system and a big panoramic sunroof. Mercedes will also offer ADAS level-1 features on the EQA for its enhanced safety.
Mercedes-Benz EQA Range, Battery, And Performance
Mercedes-Benz offers the EQA in the global markets with four different options. These include – EQA 250, EQA 250+, EQA 300 4MATIC, and EQA 350. All of these variants are equipped with a 66.5kWh battery pack, except the EQA 250+ which comes with a larger 70.5kWh unit. However, the power figures and performance vary as per the variant chosen.
