Mercedes-Benz EQA Launched
Following the launch of the 7-seater EQB, Mercedes-Benz India has launched the EQA, which is here to further boost sales of Mercedes’ electric vehicle division in India. Since the EQA shares its platform with the GLA unlike the larger EQ SUVs with EV platform, it carries with the handsome design of the GLA, albeit with a few EV touches. These include a star-studded flat grille with integrated headlights and connected LED tail lights at the rear.
Mercedes-Benz EQA Features
On the inside, the dashboard of the new EQA is largely similar to that of the GLA. The twin-screen setup, consisting two 10.25-inch screens, are retained and they sit above the dashboard. The sub 2-spoke steering wheel of the EQA makes it look different to its ICE counterpart. In addition, the circular AC vents of the EQA come finished in bronze colour. The biggest highlight of its interior is the introduction of the AR-based navigation system, which uses feed from the front camera and navigates the driver using arrows on the real-time feed. This shall particularly help in navigating over flyovers and roundabouts.

Mercedes-Benz EQA Powertrain, Range
Coming to the powertrain, the new Mercedes-Benz EQA features a front mounted electric motor that draws power from a 70.5kWh battery pack. The motor belts out 190PS of power and 385Nm of torque, all of which goes to the front wheels. In addition, it is capable of offering a claimed driving range of over 500 kilometres on a single charge. The EQA 250+ is capable of going from standstill to 100kmph in 8.9 seconds. Since it is only available with a single motor variant, the EQA falls back compared to the BMW iX1 and dual-motor Volvo XC40.
