Outline

After the recent announcement of six airbags in the Celerio, Alto K10 and Eeco, the Indian-Japanese carmaker has updated its best-selling model—the WagonR—with better safety features. Needless to say, this safety feature revision has led to a change in WagonR price as well. Read on to know more about the 2025 Maruti WagonR safety features and prices.

2025 Maruti WagonR safety features

Maruti Suzuki has updated the WagonR with the addition of six airbags and three-point seatbelts for all passengers across the variants. These two features join the list of other safety features such as electronic stability program, hill-hold assist and seatbelt reminders. With the inclusion of these new safety features, we expect the WagonR to be awarded a better safety rating, as and when it goes for a crash test. Back in 2019, the WagonR received 2 stars in the Global NCAP crash test and it was equipped with two airbags.

Like before, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR comes with three engine options — 1.0-litre petrol, 1.0-litre petrol-CNG and 1.2-litre petrol. Its 1.0-litre petrol engine puts out 67PS of power and 89Nm of torque. When opted for the CNG, these outputs reduce to 57PS of power and 82Nm of torque. The 1.2-litre engine is only available in petrol and it puts out 90PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Both the engines come with either the 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT but the CNG is only available with the manual transmission.
