Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG price starts from Rs 8.19 lakh

A couple of months after the launch of the 4th-gen Swift, Maruti Suzuki has now launched the Swift CNG with prices starting from Rs 8.19 lakh, targeting cost-conscious buyers. The new Swift CNG carries the Z-series 3-cylinder petrol engine and adds the CNG propulsion, thereby enabling far better fuel efficiency and low running costs. Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG launched

Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG doesn’t bring any groundbreaking news like having twin CNG tanks or an automatic transmission for urban buyers. It continues with its conventional single CNG tank and a 5-speed manual transmission. Talking about the Swift CNG specifications, it comes with a 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine that, when running on CNG mode, produces 70PS and 102Nm of torque. However, switching to petrol mode bumps up the output to 81PS and 112Nm. In CNG mode, the Swift CNG delivers an impressive fuel efficiency figure of 32.85km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki has offered the Swift CNG in 3 variants — VXI, VXI(O) and ZXI. The earlier Swift CNG was only offered in two variants, however, the new Swift further adds the Z trim, thereby offering more features to the CNG owners.
